Ask children if they know any other low positions and ask them to demostrate - sliding, sideways rolling, long and narrow shapes.Ask children if they know any high positions and ask them to demostrate.

Start from Long Sit or Upright standing on a mat as appropriate. Teach Long Sit into ½ Twist to Box Shape into Sideways Roll into Box Shape into ½ Twist to Long Sit

Commence with arms horizontal taking weight on bent left knee and extended right leg. Lower left shoulder and roll to the left taking body weight across shoulders. Exit to weight on right knee and with left leg extended to the side.

Tuck backward roll along a mat.

Ask the children to stretch up tall, then curl up small and then roll over sideways.<BR><BR>Play follow my leader to conclude - touch head/toes, stretch up tall/curl up small.

.Starting situation. A backwards on to the Side of B, and B offset from Back to Side. the line of travel. ( for B catching A early.) Back to Face. A backwards on to the Face of B, and B in line with the line of travel. ( for B catching A late.) Works when Gymnast A starts back on to the side of B; or back onto the face of B. Gymnast A makes a pike fold and tip entry, in to a backward roll action with an early hip extension, towards a handstand. Gymnast B either moves with gymnast A, to catch the lower thighs early, lifting and holding A in a handstand balance. or gymnast B waits to move in and catch the thighs of A, just as A has completed the backward roll into the handstand. B aims to arrest the motion of A and hold A in a handstand balance.

Jogging forwards and backwards.<BR>Side stepping

Keeping the arms horizontal, bring the feet together and step to the right in a continuous action.Repeat the same to the left.

Sit in straddle with arms horizontal.<BR>Lower arms and grip behind knees.<BR>Roll to the left taking weight on shoulder. Transfer weight across shoulders keeping legs in straddle postion.<BR>Exit in straddle position facing in reverse direction

Starting situation. A backwards onto the side of B, with B offset from Back to side. the line of travel. ( for B catching A early). Back to Face. A backwards on to the face of B, with B in line with the line of travel. ( for B catching A late). Works when gymnast A starts back on to the side of B; or back on to the face of B. Gymnast B does a pike fold entry in to a backward roll, with an early hip extension towards a handstand position. Before attaining the handstand, gymnast A &quot;catches their weight on the hands&quot; to check the upward motion, arches the back and prepares to Chest rock. Gymnast B either moves with A along the mat and catches the knees early, to lift the C of G of A over their shoulders and then lower A into a Chest rock; or waits directly behind, and in line with the roll of A, to time the catching of the knees late, and thereafter lift the C of G of A over their shoulders, before lowering A into a chest rock.

Side stepping to two point balance.<BR>Repeat in both direections.

Sit in a wide straddle.<BR>Reach to the right foot with the right arm.<BR>Bring the left arm over the head keeping the shoulder high.
